Origin
Harpagophytum (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a native plant from Kalahari savannahs of Southern Africa. It takes its common name, "devil's claws", from its fruits that look like crooked fingers coming out of the earth to catch unsuspecting people. Used since the beginning of recorded times by the local populations, its beneficial properties were only recently discovered by the Europeans.
Active components
The extraction technique we use on the roots allows us to obtain a high concentration in harpagoside in our nutritional supplements, a very potent constituent. Other components present include phytosterols, flavonoids and harpagoquinone.
Presentation
Pillboxes of 90 capsules on microbeads with a delayed-released effect.
The capsules we offer contain 167 mg harpagophytum (Harpagophytum procumbens) including 5 mg harpagoside. The total weight of the capsule is 431 mg.
This extract presented under the form of microbeads endowed with a delayed release effect, allows not only to increase the length of time the extract is in our organism but also allows our body to absorb nearly 100% of the useful dry residue (against 20 to 30% of the traditional nutritional supplements).
