Origin
The oil of linseed (Linum usitatissimum) is a source of alpha-linolinic acid, a substance that pertains to the Omega-3 fatty acids. The essential fatty acids Omega-3 cannot be made by the organism and must be supplemented by external food or nutritional additives.
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to the human good health because they contribute not only to our physical and emotional balance but also sustain our intellectual and creative activity. In addition, they improve our skin texture. This food should be taken from infancy on until the end of our lives, and should be preferentially used by pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers.
