To date, no toxicity or mutagenicity has been demonstrated at the recommended doses.

No toxicity was reported in the literature except in cases of hypokalaemia which could lead to heart rhythm disturbances.
Even if no problem has occurred, it is however not recommended for use during pregnancy.
